Our shelter location accepts donations every day of the week from 9:00 am  - 7:00 pm. We greatly appreciate every donation.

The following drugs are controlled substances, regulated by the Drug Enforcement Administration. SFTS cannot accept them, and they should be properly disposed of at medication drop-off sites:

​

  • Tramadol

  • Phenobarbital

  • Diazepan, aka Valium

  • Alprazolam, aka Xanax

  • Buprenorphine, aka Buprenex

  • Butorphanol, aka Torbutrol, Torbugesic

  • Morphine

  • Hydromorphane

  • Fentanyl (patch or injectable)

Items like litter and food are heavy and the shipping fees can be expensive. By ordering through our Farm & Fleet Wishlist, you can avoid the heavy lifting and shipping expense.

Simply order from the comfort of your own home and we'll drive up to pick up all of the items!

Be sure to select the "Madison, WI" location as well as Drive Thru Pick Up when ordering. Please list the pick up person as Shelter (first name) From the Storm (last name) and phone number (608) 285-2169.

Our Acknowledgement & Tax Receipt Information

When ordering through one of our online wish lists, we're not typically provided  with donor information. If you'd like for us to know who the donation is from and/or to receive a tax donation receipt, please include your name and contact information with the donation if possible.

​

Can I donate food that has already been opened?

 

Yes! We will happily take any dog or cat food that has already been opened and it doesn't have to be in the original packaging.

​

Do you accept medications?

 

Yes! We'll take both new and used medications. *Please see the above note regarding controlled substances.
